  • McCain could beat Clinton, but only Ron Paul can beat Obama. If both Romney's and Huckabee's delegates were to go to Ron Paul, it will still be a long shot but possible. I've got some commentary on CNN's factual omissions following the Romney announcement.

  • My wood shop in high school was 20' x 30' and had a half-width second floor, for a total of 900 square feet. My class had 30 kids. The office was off to the side, and our teacher spent a decent amount of time in there, because he knew he'd done a good job teaching us how to use the equipment.

  • If this were to happen in my town, I wouldn't want parents—other than the parents of the students involved and present—to know that something like this occurred, unless it's occurred more than once or twice. Why? Rumors.

  • I believe that this is yet another case where the industry is more-than-capable of regulating itself, given enough pressure from those who recommend the books (professors, etc.). The consumer (students, etc.) is captive—they are required to have these texts.

  • P.S. Movie suggestion for this topic: Ghost in the Shell. Anime classic, deals with all these questions, particularly "Whats special about being human?" which I find extremely interesting.Amen to that. All that makes us human is our DNA structure.

  • I agree with the author of the linked article wholeheartedly, except in his or her comment about satire. Satire, as one of the articles linked in the comments said, is a very difficult genre to write.

  • I wonder how long it will be until we hear more out of former CEO Andrew McKelvey. Probably unrelated, he gave a few years ago a large amount of money to Westminster College for the school to build a new student center.

  • It is my understanding that the electoral college system was established to prevent the uneducated masses of the time from electing a president based on the candidate's appeal and focus on topics irrelevant to governing a newly founded government.
